I competed in Water Polo, which is a harsh sport. Girls grab each other under water and shove. Even if rules permit against certain levels of aggression, it’s difficult to call all of these moves since many are underwater. I cannot imagine what playing would have been like back in high school if I was unknowingly playing against males. I am no small fry, but it was hard enough with the women who were in the pool alongside me. Please help high school – and before, and beyond – girls, women, compete fairly and safely.
